Silk, ink and liquid metal

Satin folds fan out from beyond the left edge, as if the fabric were pinned there and falling away, under a soft light from above. The folds slowly merge and split as the cloth shifts. Folds sets how many there are, and Sheen tightens and brightens the highlight along each crest.

Golden Hour

Wax blobs rise from a pool at the bottom of a dark lamp, merge and stretch, then sink back, each round trip taking 80 to 150 seconds. Lit from below, the wax glows brightest where it is thickest. Blobs adds more of them, each a little smaller, and Glow brightens the wax and the halo around it.

Campfire

Color flows and folds over itself in slow, warped currents, with a broad diagonal sweep from light to dark beneath it. It changes slowly enough to sit quietly behind open windows. Turbulence twists the currents harder, and Gloss adds a soft sheen to their ridges.

Drops of pigment bloom across paper, curling into fine filaments and thinning as they spread, then fading while a new one starts somewhere else. The water beneath drifts slowly and carries every bloom with it. Bloom sets how far each one spreads, and Density how dark the pigment builds.

Bands of color are combed back and forth like Turkish ebru paper, then swirled in places, with fine dark lines where colors meet and thin veins inside some bands. Each swirl winds up and relaxes before forming somewhere new. Veins sets how many bands there are, and Swirl how tightly they twist.

Liquid metal swells and ripples slowly, mirroring a studio of soft light panels, a bright horizon line and a dark floor, all in the palette's colors. A small key light glints on the crests. Ripples adds fine detail over the broad swells.

From straight overhead, lines of broken waves roll in, run up the sand as a sheet of lace and drain back, leaving it dark and glossy. A new wave arrives about every ten seconds, a little earlier or later along the beach. Waves sets how far they reach, and Foam how much white water they carry.
